When you think about the Netherlands, you will conjure images of never-ending fields of vibrantly colored tulips and windmills that stand like sentinels over vast expanses of land. However, the Netherlands is much more than that.
The neighboring country of Belgium is equally interesting and fascinating. The capital Brussels is home to the Grand Palace, which is constructed in Flemish baroque style of architecture. The structure is adorned with stunning gilding and sculptures. Be sure to visit the Gothic Hotel de Ville in the west side of the city. Its spire shows St. Michael killing the devil. Opposite it is Maison Du Roi, which is a neo-Gothic structure and has been converted to a museum. This where you will see famous city mascot, Manneken Pis.
